Sallarès Deu

The transformation of the Sallarès Deu factory -originally designed in 1920 by Lluís Muncunill- into a civic campus exemplifies adaptive reuse through spatial restitution, bioclimatic intelligence, and reversibility. Former interstitial voids are reinstated as lush, sunlit courtyards, while large greenhouse atriums passively regulate temperature. The intervention balances heritage, sustainability, and programmatic flexibility to model a contemporary, context-aware approach to post-industrial regeneration.
