The Fàbrica Nova renovation project breathes new life into a historic textile factory in Manresa, closed since 1989, reimagining it as a dynamic hub for technology, education, and research. The first phase involves the meticulous restoration of 8,000 m² of façades and 6,000 m² of roofs, preserving the site’s industrial character while enhancing structural integrity and energy performance. Respecting the original volumetry, large windows are reinstated to maximize light and transparency. This ambitious adaptive reuse marks the beginning of a long-term vision to create a “knowledge factory” in collaboration with UPC and municipal partners.
