Casa Hurtado is the careful restoration of a long-abandoned Art Deco residence, reimagined as the new home of the Victoria de los Ángeles Foundation. The project rescues a significant yet fragile piece of Barcelona’s architectural heritage and transforms it into a place dedicated to music, memory and public life. Conceived as a house for culture, it will preserve and disseminate the legacy of the internationally acclaimed soprano through exhibitions, research, education and artistic exchange. Through a precise and respectful intervention, the house regains its civic vocation, where architectural heritage and cultural legacy become inseparable and mutually sustaining.
